Robert lives in Aldbourne, Wiltshire where he is currently enjoying the delights of early retirement, often seen walking on the hills with his Cairn terrier, Fern, who has learnt to sit patiently beside his tripod while he captures the scene.

He gained a Fellowship of the RPS in 2002 with a twentry minute sequence entitled "The Wood". This used traditional slides with tape, and contained approximately 140 original slides. Some of the images from Robert's Fellowship panel are seen here |
| He has since begun to create new sequences digitally. His work covers a variety of subjects and he is well known on the local judging and lecture circuit. He is currently also a member of the RPS Audio Visual distinctions panel |
